LAYERING LIQUIDS: EXPLORE DENSITY SCIENCE. THIRD GRADE.

Density, which is defined as mass per unit of volume is a critical scientific concept to understand and can be visually demonstrated. The mixture of oil and water is an example of two liquids that have different densities, so they remain separate when poured into a cup. This project will illustrate this phenomenon.

We used different liquids and saw how they reacted with water.

WELCOME TO CÉLULA EUROPA PROJECT!!!

This current year our school undertakes hopefully a new project thanks to it we endeavour  to introduce the European dimension in our school and  get ready  our students to live in the new European context and emphasize the importance of what it pretends :

  • Promote the European languages.
  • Support the flame of European interest  in our educational community.
  • Seed and cultivate the idea of Europe in our students.
  • Inform about Europe, its  process of Union, its languages,  cities and  countries.
  • Participate in celebrations, contests and European initiatives.
  • Inform about the European projects of exchanges, culture and youth with other schools, with similar qualities to Jesús Maestro School .
  • Report about the European youth, his problems and common aspirations.
  • A team  composed by director, teachers and students will work coordinated to schedule all the linguistic activities undertaken  in our school.

This short term project  is a kind of  complement to the work which our school has been deeply involved in since 2013 when we became a member of the network of centres BEDA (Bilingual English Development and Assessment) that consists of a gradual introduction of the Spanish bilingual education Spanish-English in the School, reinforcing and expanding certain  features of the  linguistics life of the Curriculum and of the cultural scene of the school , based on three basic pillars:

• Qualitative and quantitative increase on the knowledge of the English language.

• Specific training of the teachers.

• External evaluation carried out  by Cambridge for students, teachers  and staff of the centre.

You can consult more information about  BEDA and its different levels in:

Throughout this year we will continue informing you about all the activities and projects related to this subject such  as  the  celebration of the day of Europe, school trips to UK, the "e-twinning" project (a multilateral school partnership, which contributes to mutual understanding, respect and knowledge of other cultures), our Célula Europa notice board, and so on.

BIENVENIDOS A NUESTRO PROYECTO CÉLULA EUROPA!!!

TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF. THIRD GRADE.

Thank you, TEACHER, for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself.

CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT

Cambridge English Language Assessment exams are known and recognised by schools, universities, private and public sector employers all over the English-speaking world. Success in a Cambridge English exam provides you with an internationally recognised certificate showing the level you have attained in English.

Cambridge English: Young Learners is a series of fun and engaging activity-based English language tests. They introduce primary and lower-secondary level students to everyday written and spoken English, and are an excellent way to gain confidence and improve their English.

The tests are created for children and use topics they are familiar with. All of the exams cover the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Students are encouraged to move through the three levels: Starters, Movers and Flyers.
With Cambridge English: Young Learners, teachers can motivate their students to learn English, and parents can see the progress and achievements made.

                                                       CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
